Again, Charity Vance

Here are a few more pictures of Charity Vance. She has four new songs on iTunes; "Into the Ocean," "Hello Change," "Run Away With Me," and "Moving Too Fast (The World Spins)." I really like "Run Away With Me" and "Hello Change," but they are all good. Check her out on iTunes! You won't be disappointed, I promise.

Career in fashion?

If you are at all interested in what a career in fashion might be like, do yourself a favor and buy this book. There are interviews with designers, editors, stylists, models, make-up artists, and photographers. Big industry names such as Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Wintour, and Chanel Iman contribute to this book. There is even a list of design school in the back, if you are considering breaking into the business. I bought mine, and within a day I had the whole thing read. It really is fascinating to read about the fashion industry, so I highly recommend this book!

Charity Vance

This girl is an insanely talented singer-songwriter. She describes her music as "indie-pop." She writes all her songs herself, and plays the piano beautifully in her tracks. You can get her single 'Icing' on iTunes.

When I listen to her music while getting ready in the morning, I feel the sudden urge to curl my hair and put on a floral dress, high heels, and lipstick. That's why I put this post on a fashion blog. Music influences my style in a way no person can. Music and fashion are two passions of mine, and I hope I can share them with y'all through this blog.

Beat the Heat

With summer, comes HEAT. Insane, 100 degree July heat. Here just a few of my favorite ways to beat the summertime heat, fashionably.

Natalie Portman is one of my favorite celebrity fashion icons. In this look, she pairs a light, loose blouse with short khaki shorts, and black ballet flats. This is a gorgeous combination with very flattering silhouettes. It's understated, yet chic.

Lauren Conrad is another celebrity who beats the heat in a loose, printed blouse and cute short-shorts. One thing I particularly like about this look is that the shorts are classy, not trashy.

Floral prints are huge right now, and casual dresses are always a trendy summer staple. So, with the two combined, there is virtually no room for a fashion flop! Whitney Port pulls her outfit together nicely with nice flip flops, some cute necklaces, and bracelets.

Taylor Swift does the "summer dress" staple beautifully. She pairs her dresses with a cute floral bag, and great shoes!

Denim shorts are yet another summertime wardrobe must-have. Rachel Bilson is a great example of how many different ways these shorts can be worn. These are especially cute because of the cuff! Bilson pairs hers with some fantastic shoes, and a variety of tops.

Ashley Greene looks quite cute in her denim shorts. With a light, breezy tank top, these shorts become key players in a perfect summer day look. Just add a great bag and some colorful flats. Some large black sunglasses add the finishing touch!

I hope you enjoy these cute ways to beat the summer heat!! :)

The one, the only...Coco Chanel.

"A girl should be two things, classy and fabulous."

Coco Chanel.

She basically created the little black dress. Chanel was a legendary designer, her career is the stuff dreams are made of. Her legacy continues to live on, and I'm certain it will live on until the end of time.
